Dried Dandelion Flower

These cute dandelion are lovingly collected here on our Vermont, USA property. Once harvested, the heads laid flat to dry in our greenhouse.

Dandelion work best on silk or wool fiber, but also come out just fine on cotton. They are organically grown, and safe to touch and dye with.

The amount of dandelion, or any natural dye, is based on the weight of what you are dyeing. This is known as the 'weight of fiber' or abbreviated WOF. The amount of dye stuff is expressed as a percentage of WOF. In the case of dandelion, the recommendation of 20% - 30% dried dandelion to WOF.
